We selected New French Yorkshire gilts with a shared genetic background and identical feeding conditions. After estrus identification, the gilts were categorized into the ES and NES groups. Total RNA was extracted from the ovaries , and a strand-specific library was constructed by removing ribosomal RNA. The library was then prepared for sequencing via the Illumina NovaSeq™ 6000 platform, with a paired-end sequencing read length of 2 × 150 bp. The raw sequencing data were preprocessed to remove adapters and low-quality reads.
