Holothuria glaberrima Fecal Matter Metagenome Raw sequence reads

This project was aimed at assesing the taxonomical and genetic diversity of the sea cucumber fecal matter's microbiome. This marine organism is known for eviscerating its gut with subsequent regeneration, a process thought to be related to its microbiome. The role of this microbiome could be unravelled by addressing its diversity. DNA obtained from fecal matter's metagenomic libraries was sequenced and analyzed using Miseq Illumina and NMDC-EDGE, respectively.
