Heavy metals transfer through the Inner Continental Shelf to the open ocean data were collected by the Skidway Institute of Oceanography (SKIO). Data were collected as part of the International Decade of Ocean Exploration (IDOE) and submitted as a semi-annual report in October, 1972.
