Our study explored a coordinated development planting model between grain and fruit production. Compared to bulk soil without cultivation history, planting blueberry alone could result soil acidification and damage the soil microbial community structure; On the contrary, intercropping blueberry with soybeans not only fully utilizes resources such as space, light and heat, and land resource, but also increases the abundance of beneficial microorganisms in the soil. In addition, considering the limited of land use policies, the coordinated development between grain and fruit crops may be a key trend in the future. At the same time, for some countries or regions with land resource shortages, it is also a feasible measure to balance food and fruit crop production.
