Supplementary Table 1. Scoring AD-pathway connections. When assessing a selection of 2-20 papers per pathway for their association to AD, we developed a scoring system to judge the strength of the evidence (Supplementary Table 1). Direct and obvious pathway associations scored 1 while loose, indirect connections scored 5. The type of dementia mentioned was also included in this score. AD papers could score the highest while related dementia, like frontotemporal dementia, could score a maximum of 3 and unrelated dementias could only achieve a 4.
