资源简介:
Borrowing is a common linguistic phenomenon in which words from one language migrate into another. This article examines the phonological and morphological adaptation of borrowed words in English, as well as the integration of foreign sounds and grammatical structures into the English language system. Using examples of borrowings from French and Spanish, changes in pronunciation, stress, and morphological behavior are analyzed. The study includes data from English corpora, phonetic transcriptions, and modern examples of borrowed word usage. The results reveal patterns of simplification of sound structures, changes in morphological forms, and adaptation to the English word formation system.
