Rainfall rate data and GPS derived glacier speeds from the Sít' Kusá surging glacier project, AK

This dataset is comprised of field-collected, GPS-derived glacier surface speed measurements and modeled rainfall rate data from Sít' Kusá surging glacier, Alaska. All GPS units used in this study were NetR9 GPS systems from the EarthScope Consortium, programmed to record signals at 15-second intervals. Rainfall rate data were obtained from the 0.25° × 0.25° ERA5 grid cell covering the glacier terminus and were processed using the precipitation downscaling component of the energy balance firn model (see the references section of this repository for the model citation). Both datasets span July 2020 to October 2024.
