资源简介:
Solar Radiation, Pyranometer, Interval max/min/avg
Parque Natural Metropolitano (PNM) crane station.
Location: 8.994410 -79.543000
Established in 1995, the PNM canopy crane is located at the North Western edge of Panama City, at the eastern edge of the Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Nature Park) and is surrounded by 80-year old, lowland semi-deciduous forest. The crane was 42 meters tall. The original monitoring station was located at approximately 25m. This level was about 1/3 the way from the canopy.
In 2021 the original crane was dismantled and replaced with a new, 68m crane in Jan. 2022.
The original location of the sensor at 25m resulted in significant, seasonally dependent, shading. The solar radiation sensor was moved to the top of the crane in 2006.
It is not believed that the move from the top of the old crane to the new crane will have affected the measurement of solar radiation, as such, the data are considered one data series (separate from the 25m data).
