Assessment of the impact of perception on the use of community parks

The datasets for a qualitative case study. The data was analysed to provide insights into physical and perceptual attributes which influences park visitation and use patterns. The analysis also provided insights on the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the nature of people-park interactions. Data used for the analysis was obtained from direct observation, in-depth interviews, and responses provided to the survey questionnaires (N=42). The data collected were summarised and captured into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets then organized and processed. The researcher used hand coding and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet analysis to identify themes and patterns for analysis. These were done by examining qualitative data to find recurring themes and ideas then changed them into quantitative data for analysis.
