Experimental measurements of CO2, microbial biomass and heat release during cellulose degradation in 8 arable soils.

The dataset is supplement to the article "Coupling energy balance and carbon flux during cellulose degradation in arable soils" published in Soil Biology and Biochemistry by Wirsching et al. in 2024.The experimental data include measurements of heat release via isothermal microcalorimetry, CO2 release via gas chromatography and microbial biomass via chloroform fumigation extraction. 13C was measured via mass spectrometry. All measurements were performed by Wirsching and colleagues at the University of Hohenheim.All further details are provided in the published article and its supporting material.
