资源简介:
Liquid water is essential to life as we know it, yet most planets and moons in our solar system have surface temperatures well below the freezing point of pure water. As part of an effort to identify potential biosignatures and biosignature targets for upcoming space-exploration life detection missions, the marine psychrophile Colwellia psychrerythraea 34H was incubated in subzero brines and supercooled sea water under eight conditions with varying subzero temperatures, salinities and nutrient additions. This is the raw cell data for culturability, cell abundance, and proteomic signatures - as published in Mudge et al., 2021 (https://doi.org/10.1111/1462-2920.15485). This research was undertaken at the Applied Physics Laboratory at the University of Washington, Seattle in 2018.
