Dataset for "Molybdenum APS-Coatings: A Self-regenerative Solution for Wear Resistance in Dry-lubrication Applications"
收藏资源简介:
Overview:This record provides the experimental data and provenance metadata supporting the study "Molybdenum APS-Coatings: A Self-regenerative Solution for Wear Resistance in Dry-lubrication Applications". The dataset ensures transparency regarding the experimental workflow, material processing history, and resulting performance metrics of Atmospheric Plasma Sprayed (APS) Molybdenum coatings on 100Cr6 bearing steel. Data Package Structure:To facilitate standardized experimental reporting, this record is organized as follows: Experimental Raw Data: Includes high-resolution friction and wear data from reciprocating ball-on-plate tribometer tests. Supplementary Documentation: Technical parameter descriptions and definitions are provided in dictionary.md and technical_documentation.md. All technical terminology is formally defined in a persistent, citable FAIR SKOS Concept Scheme. Semantic Provenance: Representative experiments are described in RDF format (rdf-data.zip). These files utilize domain-specific ontologies and established provenance standards (PROV-O) to map the complete specimen life cycle, from raw steel billet cutting and thermal spraying to surface grinding and tribological testing. Application:The integration of raw experimental output with machine-readable provenance enables: Automated Research Workflows: Programmatic SPARQL querying of specimen processing history. Reliable Data Provenance: Traceability of all data points back to specific production parameters. Materials Informatics: The dataset serves as a benchmark for self-regenerative solid lubricants and provides a template for standardized tribological data publication. Version 1.0.0: The current dataset exposes the knowldege graph of a single experimental workflow via 3,754 RDF triples. Following versions will extend this description to capture all experimental workflows. FAIR Data Compliance:This record adheres to the FAIR Data Principles: Findable: Assigned a unique, persistent DOI and indexed with standardized metadata; semantic descriptions and terminology are accessible via Persistent Uniform Resource Locators (PURLs) that resolve to human- and machine-readable representations. Accessible: Publicly available without restrictions; metadata remains indexed for long-term discovery. Interoperable: Provided in open, structured formats (CSV/Turtle), with metadata linked to established domain ontologies and persistent concept schemes. Reusable: Released under a CC BY 4.0 license, with complete experimental provenance and clear author attribution via ORCID. Funding & Attribution:This work is supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG) under the priority program SPP 2074 (Project Number 524080913).
