Data for the paper "11 maps for 11 rooms". Subjects were allowed to roam freely in an open field, motivated by crumbs of food thrown in by the researcher. Each subject was observed by means of chronically implanted tetrodes in the CA1 region of the hippocampus and an overhead tracking camera. The subject, arena, and monitoring equipment were moved as a unit between different rooms of the laboratory facility.
