Draft genome sequence analysis of an endophytic CTX-M-8-producing Escherichia coli novel ST13842 / CC ST10 isolated from organic tomato in Southern Chile

Escherichia coli with endophytic lifestyle isolated from an organic tomato in the Nuble region, Chile. The isolate presents a resistome composed of an extended spectrum beta-lactamase of the CTX-M-8 type, genes for resistance to aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, sulfonamides and amphenicol. In addition, this strain presents a new sequence-type which is within the clonal complex 10, which is distributed throughout the world.
