Interstate Vehicle Miles Travelled and Miles Operating Below 45 mph Dataset

<p>This dataset provides the total interstate vehicle miles traveled and interstate miles operating below 45 mph (congested conditions) across the contiguous United States categorized by 9 US Geographic Divisions (as defined by the US Census Bureau at https://www2.census.gov/geo/pdfs/maps-data/maps/reference/us_regdiv.pdf) for every minute in the month of December 2022. Approximately 500 billion commercially available connected vehicle records were aggregated by geographic division and minute to develop this dataset. In total, there were approximately 3.071 billion vehicle miles travelled by connected vehicles on US Interstates during this period.</p>

<p>The dataset (geographic_divisions_vmt_mileslt45_dec2022.csv) consists of the following attributes:</p>

<p>1. division (one of 9 US Geographic Divisions as defined by the US Census Bureau)</p>

<p>2. timestamp_est (timestamp corresponding to a minute in Eastern Standard Time)</p>

<p>3. mileslt45 (miles of interstate operating below 45 mph)</p>

<p>4. vmt (interstate vehicle miles traveled)</p>
