Bacterial community composition in seawater with different crude oil concentrations

Surface seawater from the Aransas Channel, Port Aransas, Texas was incubated with crude oil at initial concentrations of 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 400 ppm, and 800 ppm. The samples were incubated at room temperature for 50 days. Bacterial composition was sampled and analyzed at 0, 5, 12, 28, and 50 days. This dataset represents the bacteria composition at genus level for different concentrations and various time points.
