Bacterial communities of the bovine ileum

The goal of this study was to identify bacterial community structure within the ileum of calves at intervals from day 0 to day 96 after birth. The aim was to characterise the sequence of colonisation and determine the duration of high microbial community instability and then relate this back to host immune related parameters also collected.
