The number of tourism and hospitality companies in Italy increased by 1.6 percent in 2023 over the previous year, recovering from the impact of COVID-19. Overall, both before and after the onset of the pandemic, food and drink services accounted for the highest number of businesses in the tourism and hospitality market, with over 167,000 such companies in 2023.
