资源简介:
Dataset accompanying the 2026 article: Hypothalamic amyloid levels are associated with early sex-dependent alterations in energy homeostasis in TgF344-AD rats. We hypothesized a bi-directional relationship between peripheral metabolic impairments and Alzheimer's disease neuropathology. This dataset includes pre and post-mortem measurements from male and female Tgf344-AD rats. We detected soluble amyloid beta 40 and 42 in the hypothalamus of TgF344-AD rats alongside sex-dependent impairments in peripheral metabolic indices. Amyloid beta 42 positively correlates with separate impaired measures in male versus female TgF344-AD rats. These findings suggest that Alzheimer's disease pathology in the hypothalamus may induce or contribute to peripheral metabolic impairments in a sex-dependent fashion which can then exacerbate AD pathology. The readme text file contains salient information about experimental design and measurements taken.
