资源简介:
The study tested whether a single session of taVNS reduces the development of central sensitization measured as mechanical secondary hypersensitivity after painful electrical high frequency stimulation (HFS). Furthermore, the study investigated the effect of taVNS on affective state, heart rate variability (HRV - rMSSD) and heart rate (HR). 37 participants took part in the study. The study had a cross-over design with two laboratory sessions (taVNS and sham). Changes in the ratings of intensity and unpleasantness of mechanical stimuli delivered around the HFS site (Pre- post- 45 min-post HRF) were used as measures of mechanical hypersensitivity. taVNS (100 Hz, 400 μs, 5s on/off) was delivered after HFS. Self-reported affective state, HR and HRV (rMSSD) were measured during each phase of the study.Dataset contains:ECG recordings filesDetailed Timing of Experiment Phases in ECG Recordings Dataset - Effects of taVNS on central sensitization - Final dataset with self-reported variables and results of ECG analysisData on reported adverse effects
