Images from a Historic Building Recording Survey at Wheal Uny Mine and Hind's Shaft Pumping and Winding Engine Houses, Trewirgie Hill, Redruth, Cornwall, 2023

This digital archive comprises images from a historic building record prior to and following the repair of Grade II Listed winding and pumping engine houses for Hind's Shaft and a calciner chimney at Wheal Uny mine, Trewirgie Hill, Redruth. The pumping engine house is located at NGR SW 69510 40782, the winding engine house is located at NGR SW 69510 40725 and the calciner chimney at NGR SW 69364 40801 within the southern part of the Wheal Uny mine complex. Cornwall Archaeological Unit was commissioned by Cormac Solutions Ltd to carry out the work between 24th May and 15th August 2023.
