Telosma pallida L. is an unexplored medicinal plant in the ayurveda, belonging to Asclepiadaceae family and also known as Pergularia pallida L.. This plant is called Radarudi or Varshadodi in Gujarati and Surkilla in Hindi. chromosome number is 2n=22. This valuable plant is available and sown in India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Thailand, Vietnam etc.. The flowering season is mostly July to September during monsoon. Traditionally it is described to neutralize Tridosha . The lack of genetic information hinders the understanding of its physiological processes, such as the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites.
