Mycobacteroides abscessus strain:GZ002 Genome sequencing

Mycobacterium abscessus causes pulmonary infections in human. The treatment of this emerging pathogen is a major challenge because it is resistant to most of the effective drugs along with disinfectants. It is very important to study the genetic composition of this emerging pathogen. Therefore, we have sequenced the whole genome of Mycobacterium abscessus clinical isolate showing smooth colony morphology.
