These data were released prior to the October 1, 2016 effective date for the USGS’s policy dictating the review, approval, and release of scientific data as referenced in USGS Survey Manual Chapter 502.8 Fundamental Science Practices: Review and Approval of Scientific Data for Release. This dataset is an aggregation of county-level tillage practices to the 8-digit hydrologic unit watershed. The original county-level data were collected by the Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) and is a proprietary dataset. The CTIC collects tillage data by conducting surveys about tillage systems for all counties in the United States.
