Clostridioides difficile, a mammalian intestinal tract microorganism, causes C. difficile infections (CDI). Our research group identified a potential model organism from a patient for host-pathogen interactions and phage biology. In order to fully characterize the laboratory strain, whole-genome sequencing and genome assembly were performed. C.difficile agar (CLO) with cycloserine, cefoxitin, and amphotericin B. (BioMerieux) is used for growth media. The cells were collected and washed by TE buffer twice. The genomic DNA isolations were carried out by ZymoBIOMIX DNA Miniprep Kit research, and genomic DNA samples were sequenced on OXFORD NANOPORE (MinION).
