The Public Plans Data (PPD) contains detailed annual data on the finances of the largest state and local pensions in the U.S -- including over 200 plans (roughly half state-run plans and half locally-run plans) which account for 95 percent of state/local pension assets and members in the U.S. The PPD is produced by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College in partnership with the MissionSquare Research Institute, the National Association of State Retirement Administrators, and the Government Finance Officers Association.
