Replication data for: Measuring Lexical Distance between Parallel Corpora: The Case of AI-Generated News Translation

<p>Data and code (in R) corresponding to the article "Measuring Lexical Distance between Parallel Corpora: The Case of AI-Generated News Translation"</p>

<p>The purpose of this project was to develop tools to measure statistical distance between corpora of translated news articles in English in French. Included here are the meta-data for the articles, gathered manually from SwissInfo.ch. The first article was published on 21 August 2023; the last was published on 18 February 2025.</p>

<p>Also included here are the vectorized forms of these articles, as well as code (in R) to produce the histograms showing distances between each story and its counterpart in the two corpora.</p>
