Rhizosphere fungal communities in experimental grassland monocultures in Germany

We extracted DNA from rhizosphere soil of 44 species of grassland plants grown in monocultures of two different sowing dates, with 71 samples overall. A total of 27 species were sampled in both 18 year old and 4 year old plant communities, the remaining were only sampled in either young or old plots. The microbiome dataset was obtained via Illumina MiSeq sequencing and comprises of raw fungal (ITS, internal transcribed spacer region 2) amplicon sequences . ITS4 and ITS7:ITS7o primers were used.
