AUTHORIAL MASTERY IN JOURNALISTIC INVESTIGATION (ON THE MATERIAL OF THE PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE OF MUHAMMADJON OBIDOV)

These theses offer an analytical account of authorial mastery in the investigative genre and test it on the working life of Muhammadjon Obidov, an Honoured Journalist of Uzbekistan. Mastery is treated as a compound of three mutually dependent elements — cognitive-analytical, ethical-legal and artistic-narrative — made observable through five criteria readable in the material itself, and the journalist's career is divided into three stages matched against their institutional conditions. Mastery, it is argued, is not a finishing layer applied to accurate facts but the mechanism through which verified facts acquire social weight.
