Point population from census grid (2012, Mazovian region, Poland)

<br>This dataset is a full sample of point population. Data were obtained from the official census published in 2012 in a 1 km x 1 km grid with information on the number of inhabitants, age and gender structure in each grid cell (Statistics Poland, 2012). Data, originally available as grid data, were disaggregated into point data. The sampling procedure assumed drawing for each grid cell (1 km x 1 km) from random spatial distribution the equivalent number of points (1 point = 100 persons). Those random points were geo-localised (longitude/latitude) and treated as point pattern.<br>This dataset is a part of a project titled "Modelling and forecasting business location in context of economies of density. Theoretical, methodological and empirical approach using spatial econometrics and spatial machine learning" financed by National Science Center, Poland (Krakow, Poland) [OPUS 21 call, grant number UMO-2021/41/B/HS4/00285].
