This dataset comprises 104,678 texts related to subway flooding events collected from three popular Chinese social media platforms—TikTok, Weibo, and KUAISHOU—and four online news platforms: Baidu News, Sina News, Headlines Today, and Sogou. The data was gathered using Python APIs by searching for posts and articles of social media and news with the keywords “subway + flooding” from 2001 to 2021.
