资源简介:
This collection comprises site images (including images of skeletal human remains), a report, spreadsheet and GIS data, and a database from an archaeological excavation undertaken by Cotswold Archaeology at Trinity Lane, Chipping Sodbury, South Gloucestershire between May and June 2022. Earliest evidence of human activity comprised two residual prehistoric worked flints, one datable to the Mesolithic or Early Neolithic period, and a small pit of Bronze Age date. Occupation began in the Late Iron Age-Early Roman transition period, when a small unenclosed settlement comprising at least two roundhouses was established. By the end of the 1st century AD the structures had been replaced by a similar unenclosed settlement comprising six penannular ditches; possible roundhouses or small stock pens; a small rectangular enclosure, several ditches and dispersed discrete features.
