The transcriptional profile of whole blood samples from tuberculosis patients infected with lineage 4 M. tuberculosis (20 samples) or lineage 6 M. tuberculosis (13 samples), and from healthy donors (HD, 13 samples) was analyzed by RNA-seq to study the differences in the immune mechanisms and responses in humans infected with L4 vs. L6 M. tuberculosis strains.
