Description
The archive contains the summary statistics of the different analyses presented on the SSNA web application ( https://acclimation.statgen.org/). There were three different statistical analysis: LMM, OLS and Strip-Plot.
OLS analysis
For the study of association between proteomic changes with physiological changes of human heat acclimation, we used a linear regression model (OLS) of the differences in protein changes and differences in physiological changes, which included core (Tcore), body (Tbody) and skin temperatures (Tskin), local sweat rate (LSR), cutaneous vascular conductance (CVC), skin sympathetic nerve activity (SSNA), systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP and DBP, respectively), mean arterial blood pressure (MBP), and sweat production.
A total of 28 analysis were performed for the following endpoints and variables.

LMM results
For the proteomic study, we analyzed the NPX values as endpoints using a mixed linear regression model that compares the normo and hyperthermic distributions and the pre- and post-acclimation visits and provides the mean difference estimate while accounting for all 4 repeated measurements per participant. The effect of heat immersion and acclimation was tested within this mixed model by using a Student T test.
Split-plot
We also used a split-plot design with two factors, time and heat, using the participants as block units where the whole plot represented the time factor and the subplot the heat factor, to assess interaction effects between time and heat factors.
