This is a video showing numerical results of 2D rising bubble experiment without terrain (nonterrain experiment) using the 2D nonhydrostatic model with the BTF coordinate. The model is described by Appendix A in Yang et al. (2023). The subfigures are (a) horizontal velocity, (b) vertical velocity, (c) potential temperature, (d) horizontal pressure gradient force (HPGF), and (e) vertical pressure gradient force (VPGF). The model integrates 1000 s ahead of the initial time. The domain shown here spans from -6 km to 6 km horizontally and from 0 km to 12 km vertically.
