Purpose: To investigate whether early injury (EI) affects intestinal stem cell (ISC) hyperplasia in aging flies by altering the gut microbiota. We analysed the gut microbial composition of the UT (untreated) and EI (early injury) groups at days 12 and days 16 using 16S rRNA sequencing.
