Plasma from over 500 febrile patients from Kenya was analyzed. Particle-associated nucleic acids were enriched by filtration and nuclease treatment. DNA and RNA was amplified by random RT-PCR and libraries prepared by Nextera XT with dual barcoding. Sequencing was done on one HiSeq lane using 150 bases paired end sequencing.Each of the 51 barcodes consist of 10 plasma samples from Kenyan febrile patient.
