This dataset includes the monthly classification of Southern Ocean thermohaline clusters from January 2004 to December 2023, the monthly accuracy of the random forest classification model, and monthly time series of TH-S and TH-N. The dataset allows replicating the figures shown in the JGR Ocean paper "Annual transformation and thermohaline trends in the Southern Ocean from a machine learning approach."
