Bioaugmentation of bench-scale sequencing batch reactors treating landfill leachate under low C/N ratios

The aim of this study was to assess the effect of bioaugmentation on the treatment efficiency of mature landfill leachate in bench-scale sequencing batch reactors. By introducing specialized microbial consortia, the research focused on enhancing autotrophic processes such as partial nitrification and anammox for improved ammonia removal.
