Value of VC investment in life sciences industry in the U.S. 2009-2023

The value of venture capital (VC) investments in the life sciences industry in the United States increased overall between 2009 and 2023, albeit with some fluctuations. Although VC investments in the sector experienced a noticeable decline in 2023, reaching nearly 31 billion U.S. dollars, this figure still represents a significant increase compared to the approximately nine billion U.S. dollars recorded in 2009.
