These certificates record the name, port of registry and official number, and registered tonnage of the motor ship; the name of the master and number of his certificate; the number of persons and crew it is deemed fit to carry; details of boats, life-saving appliances and equipment required to be carried; the authorised maximum pressure on the safety valves of the air receiver; the running number of the certificate; and the date of issue and expiry.
