Identification of Genetic Factors Responsible for Establishment of Equine Arteritis Virus Carrier State in Stallions

Horses have genetic differences in susceptibility to Equine Arteritis Virus, both for in vitro tests and for development of persistent carrier states. This project was designed to identify the underlying genetic causes and the physiological effects. The results are relevant to the biology of Arterivirus infection.
