Packages in the Financial Statements and Ratios category deliver the full depth of Morningstar's equity fundamental data — from raw financial statements through to derived ratios, growth metrics, and valuation multiples. Data covers income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements at three levels of granularity, segment-level breakdowns, per-share calculations, forward-looking estimates, and industry-level aggregates. Financial statements are available in both as-originally-reported (AOR) and restated forms, enabling analysis of both historical filings and the most current view of a company's financial position. Coverage spans over 55,000 active companies globally, with historical data for a further 60,000+ delisted companies dating back to 1970.

## Financials

Includes data collected from the income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, debt maturity schedule, and notes to the financials in companies’ financial result filings—such as 10-Q filings, annual reports/10-K filings, and IPO documents. Data is available both as originally reported (for point-in-time analysis) and on a restated basis, including preliminary results and trailing twelve-month results. Data collected from the filings is standardized to account for variations in how companies present financial results and interpret reporting standards. This enables you to analyze companies on a like-for-like basis for better comparison.Financial ratios—including yields, operating ratios, price multiples, and growth ratios—are calculated based on the data collected from the financial statements. ## Analyst Normalized Financials

Provides enhanced normalization of a company’s reported financial data. While companies report normalized financial items as part of their financial filings, interpretations of which line item adjustments should or should not be made can vary from company to company. While the Financials package includes data that uses algorithms to make normalization adjustments based on reported exceptional items, each of the companies covered by our Analyst Normalized Financials package has undergone an in-depth analysis of all reported items by our experienced data analysts, providing even greater precision in the normalization process.
