The study was performed to identify physico-chemical and microbial quality of Full cream milk powder (FCMP) and Pasteurized milk (PM) in the Sri Lankan market. Four brands of FCMP (A, B,C, D) and three brands of PM ( E, F, G) and raw cow’s milk samples (Control) were tested. Brands C and D are locally produced and brands A and B are imported to Sri Lanka. All the PM are produce in Sri Lanka. Three samples from each brand for the determination of physico- chemical parameters and five samples from each brand for enumeration of Total Coliform Count (TCC) were tested and each test was duplicated. A cup of milk (COM) produced by dissolving 25 g of FCMP in 200 ml of water. COM of FCMP was compared with COM of liquid milk and p value < 0.05 was considered significant.
