VPRS 15714 Control Book, Crown Reserves

This series provides a summary of the details of entries in the Government Gazette relating to Crown reserves, particularly the appointment of trustees for their management. Details given are the locality of the reserve and its purpose and later the correspondence ('C' prefix) or file number ('Rs' prefix) relating to that reserve. Originally, the area was to be provided but this column came to be used to record the date of the Order-in-Council which created and proclaimed the reserve.The final column gives details of the Government Gazette entries relating to the reserve.These are given as a fraction with the denominator being the year and the numerator being the page upon which a notice appears. Many entries indicate that details were transferred to a card system.
