The Amazon is considered an important source of biodiversity. However, few studies have been carried out to describe the microbial communities of Amazonian habitats, and even fewer have been carried out to explore the biotechnological potential of natural products synthesized by these microbial communities. To help fill this gap in knowledge, our study aimed to sequence genomes of bacterial strains isolated from pristine Amazonian soil.
