The Institute for Social Research (ISF) has been commissioned by The Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development to coordinate the evaluation of the trials with electronic voting (e-voting) in the local elections in Norway the autumn of 2011. As a basis for the report and the data set, is a diverse empirical material about topics that can be attached to e-voting. These themes include accessibility and voter turnout, trust in elections and e-voting in particular, secrecy of the ballot and efficiency related to the election. Signe Bock Segaard was the project manager and had overall responsibility for the project evaluation. The report is intended to be a research-based foundation for further work on the e-elections, including the public debate on voting via internet.
