Scholars Programs in Art History: Comparative Data Since 1961

This dataset aggregates awards and affiliations for individual scholars from four residential programs in art history and visual arts and culture in the USA. Data was collected in various ways: either directly exported from the institutions’s CMS or extracted from printed publications and webpages. The dataset is available as .csv files downloadable from a GitHub repository. Names of institutions and places of residence are normalized to Wikidata, and the dataset includes QID and ROR (Research Organization Registry) identifers, added computationally with the OpenRefine reconciliation service. The dataset may be of interest for studies of institutional support over time in humanitic studies and internationally.
