The concepts of structural dynamics are incorporated into the following 4 challenges. Each chapter includes one challenge, showcasing a different concept exemplified with 3D printed designs. In the first chapter the goal was to design a 3D printed wheel that had the lowest possible acceleration when 4 nuts were press fit into it. The design had restraints requiring creative solutions to solve problems. Challenge 2 was all about designing a reciprocating motion mechanism to drive a table. The target for this was originally to archive 15g but due to constraints of materials this was modified. In Challenge 3 the task was to design 4 columns for a provided 3D printed structure. The goal was to create structure with a natural frequency of 4.5 Hz. The last challenge was all about seeing how the structure created in Challenge 3 reacted when a driving frequency was applied to it by the table created in Challenge 2.
