<b>Bottom-up </b><b>Drivers </b><b>of Zooplankton structure and Functional redundancy in Tropical Reservoirs</b>

During the wet season and the dry season in 2019, an investigation was conducted on rotifers and crustaceans in 21 reservoirs located in tropical and subtropical regions. The dataset includes diversity indices of rotifers and crustaceans—such as species richness, True Simpson's index, Rao's Q functional diversity index, and functional redundancy—as well as the biomass of both two groups. Meanwhile, water nutrient data (including total nitrogen, total phosphorus, and nitrate nitrogen), physicochemical parameters (such as temperature, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, and transparency), and phytoplankton biomass (classified by major phyla including cyanobacteria, chlorophyta, and bacillariophyta) along with chlorophyll a concentration were collected. In addition, the morphological characteristics of the reservoirs, such as storage capacity and catchment area, were also incorporated into the dataset.
